Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park is a great outing back to nature. From the fantastic wildlife and visiting the famous Yellowstone geysers to meeting up with Indians to learn about Native American history or going trail riding by horseback, you can plan your outdoor adventure and have fun visiting Yellowstone National Park.

Old Faithful erupts at Yellowstone

This classic landmark has been erupting with regular frequency of about every 92 minutes for millions of times over the last hundred or more years. Actually there are over 150 geysers in this area to explore with Old Faithful being the most famous.

If you want to see wildlife, look no further for one of the largest areas of free-roaming grizzlies, black bears, grey wolves and even buffalo bison. Yellowstone National Park is also home to the trumpeter swan which is the world's heaviest bird weighing in at over 25-30 lbs. That's no Grizzly that can weigh 300-600 lbs, but Grizzlies can't fly either!

There are about 4,000 Bison in Yellowstone and you may chance upon one of them in the wild as well. Elk and Moose are abundant so drive carefully!

If you don't end up seeing many animals yourself, you can always cut to the chase at Yellowestone Bear World where you will be treated to the presence of American Bison, white-tailed deer, mule deer and moose, black bear, grizzly bear and the gray wolf.

You can also take a dip at the Hot Springs State Park.

Yellowstone National Park is located in Wyoming at the intersection of Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.
