Blizzard Beach

Go swimming in the Alps?

Blizzard Beach features a large snow covered (or white-paint covered) mountain in the center of the Water Park. You ride a chairlift up to the top and then can either take a Family Raft down a large water flume, or brave one of the large almost verticle water slides that get your speed to over 50 m.p.h. Affectionately referred to as the "Wedginator", this extreme slide has a minimum height requirement and is a favorite among alpine daredevils.

For the more sanguine among the crowd, there is a peaceful lazy river that surrounds the park and fun alpine music immerses the entire area. From raft rides and slides to a Kids Camp where you can try to walk across icebergs without falling into the pool or take a hand tram over water and finally let go for a big splash.

Blizzard Beach Water Park also features a toboggan slide. All use of rafts, slides and intertubes are included with park admission.

Blizzard Beach Tips:

Get there early, rent a locker if you need to for your valuables. (they also rent towels, but if you have your own you can bring them). Bring water shoes as the pavement is hot especially in the summer.

Tikes Peak is an area within Blizzard Beach for guests under 48 inches tall that has it's own slides for smaller swimmers.

Toboggan slides and raft rides are great fun, and you can relax a little on the lazy river. Raft useage included with park admission.

There are no full service restaurants in Blizzard Beach, but there is a main quick service restaurant and several snack places including one that serves up an entire bucket load of ice cream.

Feel free to sing along with the German Polkas!
