Splash Mountain is one of our favorite Magic Kingdom Attractions
The Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida hosts many fun rides. Some of our favorite Magic Kingdom attractions include the Pirates of the Caribbean (although we like the Disneyland in California version of this ride even better), Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Railroad and of course Splash Mountain.
The Magic Kingdom attraction Splash Mountain is a peaceful ride - until you get to the longest flume ride water chute that creates a resounding splash! Especially great on warm days where you cruise through the Brer Bear and Brer Rabbit caverns out of the noon heat and finally end your ride with a beautiful splash. If you are lucky, you splash some onlookers as well, great fun!
Some old time classic attractions include the remodelled Dumbo the flying elephant ride (with more elephants), the Tomorrowland Speedway where you ride your own gas powered car and the ever popular "It's a Small World" made famous from a world's fair of yesteryear and still going strong in both California and Orlando Disney Magic Kingdoms.
The Jungle Cruise and Aladdin flying carpets are also fun as long as their lines aren't too long.
Disney World Orlando attractions are best enjoyed in the shoulder seasons or off-season. The weather is milder allowing for more outdoor walking, and the crowds are thinner allowing for less waiting in line and more enjoyment of the rides and attractions.
Buzz Lightyear is a fun arcade style game where 2 riders go through an interactive space ride (in a car on a track that you can turn) armed with 2 laser pistols that score hits on numerous targets throughout the ride. You can see who gets top score when you come out of the ride. Your score is posted on your vehicle and you can see your ranking when you get off the ride.
