Disney Christmas

Christmas at Disney is a Magical Time

Decorations around Disney World over the holidays create a very festive mood. The Magic Kingdom gets all decked out with a giant Christmas tree on Main Street and the Christmas parade.

The Main Street Christmas parade always puts us in the holiday spirit during the holiday season.

Even the Disney Hotel Resorts all decorate for the holidays. Epcot holds a candlelight processional, the Magic Kingdom is home to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey's Jingle Jungle Expeditions are at the Animal Kingdom.

Christmas is certainly one of the nicest times to visit Disney with family.

On Christmas Day the ABC television network televises the traditional Christmas Day parade from Disney World in Florida and also segments from Disneyland in California with all of the popular characters including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Mary Poppins and more.

Although Christmas at Walt Disney World Orlando is one of the busiest times of year, the park hours are extended for the Christmas season. The Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights is a special holiday attraction among millions of twinkling lights throughout the park and hotels. The Grand Floridian hotel has a very large beautiful tree in the lobby as well as a fragrant authentic gingerbread house.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Special events during this time include the traditional Disney Christmas parade, a Holiday Wishes fireworks show, holiday performances and even falling snow on Main Street USA with the Cinderella castle as a backdrop. And who says it never snows in Floriday. Space Mountain should be up and running again for the holidays as well after lengthy refurbishing.
