New York City Family Travel

Then it is off to Fifth Avenue, Central Park and maybe a horse carriage ride.
Central Park has beautiful meadows for just chillin', Strawberry fields which is a tribute to John Lennon, or you can rent a rowing boat on the lake in Central Park. Coney Island has the world famous beachfront promenade.
Manhatten is by far the most famous destination in New York and streets are labled simply by number. North to South run the numbered streets and East to West run the numbered Avenues. You can get around by taxi, subway or bus. A world famous shopping destination, you will find yourself along 5th Avenue like Saks, Bloomingdales and Macys. There is a visitors center at Macys where you can present your passport and get an 11% discount with any foreign passport!
There are plenty of cultural exhibits and museums including the grand Museum of Fine Art, the Guggenheim Museum and the "Met" on Museum Mile Fifth Avenue. Take a harbor cruise on the Hudson River and see the Statue of Liberty.
Hotels, Restaurants, Theaters on and off Broadway, Shopping and always lots going on. Times Square is a bustling hub of activity and on New Years Eve, you can watch the famous ball drop on Time Square to usher in the New Year.
Other landmarks include St. Patrick's Cathedral and Grand Central Station. Climb abord the Staten Island Ferry for a half hour journey across the waterways that provide views of Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.
New York state also offers many family attractions including Niagara Falls in upstate New York.
